Three Morning Smoothies To Try Out

IMG_8925.jpg

Smoothies are that “everything you need in one place” kind of thing. They are refreshing and filling, and super convenient if you are rushing out the door in the mornings. They can be a great breakfast alternative, and a good way to get all your nutrients in. For me, for example, I get my fruit in the mornings, so having a fruit smoothie is the best way to start the day and my digestion.

It’s all about incorporating the right ingredients

Having the right ingredients like oats, chia seeds, flax seeds and greens, give you the energy and nutrients you need. Some of the benefits include improving your skin, detoxifying your body because of their antioxidant properties, boosting your brain power, helping with digestion, controlling your cravings and enhancing your immune system.

So! I got three of my favorite recipes here, and let me tell you, they will not disappoint. They are sweet, light and refreshing, but at the same time filling and nutritious. You will for sure love every single one.

Glow Spirulina Smoothie

If you follow me on instagram you have probably seen this one around a thousand times. I LOVE this smoothie. It makes my skin glow. Spirulina is a plant based protein that comes from algae, very underrated to be honest. Packed with benefits that go from improving gut health to reducing blood pressure and boosting your metabolism, it’s my favorite go-to super food at the moment. I love that Hulk dark green color.

You will need:

  • One Banana

  • Mango

  • Pineapple

  • Spinach

  • Half coconut water

  • Half milk (depends on your preferences, but dairy free preferably. I use oat milk)

  • One scoop of spirulina powder (if you don’t have the serving spoon, it’s about half a tsp)

  • One tbs of Chia + Flax seeds blend

Blueberry Almond Smoothie

There is a list of benefits attributed to blueberries. They are a source of iron, magnesium and potassium, have anti-inflammatory properties, reduce pain, and boost mood. What else do you need? This smoothie is definitely my “feel good” smoothie, for those mornings we need extra love.

The ingredients are:

  • One Banana

  • One cup of blueberries (I like to freeze mine, but it’s not required)

  • One tbs of almond butter (or more, why not?)

  • Milk of your preference (dairy free preferably)

  • One tbs of oats

  • One tbs of Chia + Flax seeds blend (we love fiber!!!)

Almond Coffee Smoothie

For the coffee lovers, this recipe is for those days that we just need a little pick me up. It’s the perfect combination of flavors. You can have it in the mornings, or in the afternoon as a snack, the perfect nice-cream.

Here the ingredients:

  • One tbs of almond butter

  • One espresso shot (if you don’t have a espresso machine, make a very strong cup of coffee and let it chill)

  • Milk of your preference (dairy free preferably)

  • 2 tbs of oats (you can remove the oats if you are having it in the afternoon)

  • Half banana

  • 2 pitted dates (optional, for the ones who love sweets)

and voila! You will love these ideas. Each of them are packed with all sorts of goodness that make them delicious. You will crave more and more!

these recipes go straight to your heart.
