Top Three Products For Makeup Free Days

I personally feel my best when I am not wearing makeup. There is something about doing my skincare and letting all the products sink in that screams “freshness”. However, let’s face it, we all love what makeup can do. Eyebrows, lashes, flawless skin, sun-kissed cheeks, we all love it. Specially for those days that we haven’t had a lot of rest, a good concealer is a must, right?

But what if we could look our best without any makeup on?

It all depends, of course, of how comfortable we feel in our own skin. I am a big advocate of enhancing the parts of us that we love, and ignoring the parts we don’t. Even when using makeup. The truth is, the less makeup we use, the less we need it, so having makeup free days will actually make our skin breath and improve over time. For those days we don’t want to wear makeup and we need a little extra help, there are a few products that would make our skin look fresh, healthy and young.

So here is the breakdown:

Vitamin C Serum:

Ok, I have a dedicated blog post on why we need a Vitamin C serum asap in our daily routine. But in a nutshell, something that is not often highlighted is how we can see skin improvement right after applying it. It plumps your face, reduces visible pigmentation and fine lines, and improves your skin radiance on the spot. But what’s even better than having Vitamin C serum, is a Vitamin C OIL. I LOVE oils and how they make your skin look, glowy and youthful. I’ve been using Biossance Vitamin C Rose Oil every morning as a finisher for my skin care routine, and it not only has all the benefits of Vitamin C, but also the calming, healing characteristics of the rose oil.

A Good Chapstick:

When our lips are dry we look tired, unhealthy, and older. Besides, dryness make our lips look thinner, and nobody wants that. I believe a good layer of chapstick makes all the difference in the world, specially when we are not wearing makeup. That’s why I love this lip scrub from Sephora Collection, it hydrates my lips, exfoliates them and makes them look more plumped, which is always a good thing.

Bright Eyes

One of the things we try to cover the most with makeup are dark circles, which makes leaving our house without make up close to impossible. Our eye area is probably the most sensitive part of our face, so using an eye cream is a must to keep it hydrated and young. So on top of an eye cream (that actually makes a huge difference), I’ve been using the TULA Eye Balm, which is life changing. It has this cooling sensation plus brightens your under eyes, illuminating that entire area of your face automatically. Big one for those make up free days.
