So ok, oil in your coffee is not the first thing you crave in the morning precisely. But to be honest, I can't have my coffee solo anymore. You have to get used to texture, but flavor? Divine. I started to add coconut oil to my coffee basically for my skin. It has anti-inflammatory qualities, so your skin plumps, helps with the redness and puffiness. Another good thing is that, just like the bulletproof coffee (adding grass fed butter or ghee to your coffee), adding coconut oil satisfies your stomach.

I am like a monster in the mornings, I love breakfast. If you leave me unsupervised I will have pancakes or french toasts, or eggs with toasts for dinner because that is how much I love breakfast. Having coffee with coconut oil controls my appetite, and keeps me satisfied until my next meal. I also love to have it after my lunch, it keeps my sweet cravings away. Other benefits are antibacterial, and helps with digestion because of the Lauric acid that is in it.

Bottom Line? It's good, it is really good, and life is about choosing all the good things.

Here the recipe:

  • Black coffee (I use medium roast because I don't like the toasted taste of dark roast beans)
  • Half a tsp of Extra Virgin Coconut Oil

So here is the thing, I don't blend it, I just place the coconut oil directly in my coffee. This might not be very soothing for most people, but I got used to it. Blending it will make it more uniform and create a sort of froth, very very tasty.
